Description

The data technician will work collaboratively with the technology department to provide excellent customer service to the District. The data technician will:

  • Review, update, maintain, and assure the accuracy of curriculum databases, records, and files. 
  • Update, operate, identify data entry problems and inconsistencies, facilitate resolution, and maintain computerized curriculum inventory and equipment inventory
  • Assist HR with updating/maintaining/editing email addresses for staff
  • Maintain student email database and update as students enroll/withdraw from the district
  • Maintain and update programs on student devices
  • Assist teachers/students with curriculum and equipment issues.
  • Assist with help desk tickets including setting up equipment, running updates, problem-solving basic issues
  • Maintain/update district webpage
  • Assist with the purchasing process and placing technology orders
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.  

Experience/Qualifications:  Minimum, one-year work experience installing, maintaining, and repairing computers and peripherals including printers, modems, and scanners.  Knowledge of computer workstation setup. Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications.  Ability to install and maintain network cables and hardware.  Must pass a fingerprint-based background check.

  • You must affirm you are in compliance with the SB 9 fingerprint requirement and will submit to a CHRI review (background check) via the "DPS Computerized Criminal History (CCH) Verification Form" (included in the enrollment process).  
  •  An "Affidavit of Applicant Offered Employment" (included in the enrollment process) must be completed and notarized before a candidate is offered a position at N-S CISD.  A notary public is available in the Human Resources office for candidates who are recommended for employment. This pre-employment requirement complies with and exceeds TEC 21.009 and local policy.
