Primary Purpose:
Plan, coordinate, and supervise all components of the athletic training program for student-athletes. Work under the direction of the team physician to prevent, recognize, assess, manage, treat, and recondition athletic injuries and illnesses.
Requirements:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree
Valid license from the Advisory Board of Athletic Trainers (through TDLR)
Current Adult CPR and AED certification
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and injury prevention
Ability to provide emergency care and rehabilitation for student athletic injuries
Ability to instruct and supervise student-athletes and assistants
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Application Procedure:

3. Provide/upload a copy of your college transcript.
4. Provide/upload a copy of your valid Texas Teacher/Trainer Certificate.
5. Provide proof of Identity (Driver's Lic., Birth Certificate, Passport, or other Federal Documents.)
6. If required, must submit to and pass a biometric (fingerprint-based) background check.
Included in the electronic application:
- A notice to comply with the requirement to a Criminal History Record Information (CHRI) review via the "DPS FACT" database (included during the enrollment process) per Texas Government Code Sec. 411.097.
- An "Affidavit of Applicant Offered Employment" (included during the enrollment process) must be completed and notarized before a candidate is offered a professional position at N-S CISD. A notary public is available in the Human Resources office when candidates are recommended for employment. This pre-employment requirement complies with TEC 21.009 and local policy.
