Part-time Contracted Position
Primary Purpose:
The Speech-Language Pathologist works with special education and general education teachers, providing services to students with speech, voice, or language disorders. The SLP assesses students and provides therapeutic intervention to eliminate or reduce problems or impairments that interfere with students' ability to derive full benefit from the educational program.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas license as a speech-language pathologist granted by the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (SBESLPA)
Application Procedure:
1. Complete the Web-based electronic application.
2. Provide a certified copy of college transcript.
3. Provide a copy of a valid SLP Certificate.
4. Provide proof of Identity (Driver's Lic., Birth Certificate, Passport or other Federal Documents.)
Included in the electronic application:
- A notice to comply with the requirement for a Criminal History Record Information (CHRI) review via the "DPS FACT" database (included during the enrollment process) per Texas Government Code Sec. 411.097.
- An "Affidavit of Applicant Offered Employment" (included in the application process) must be completed and notarized before a candidate is offered a professional position at N-S CISD. A notary public is available in the Human Resources office for candidates who are recommended for employment. This pre-employment requirement complies with TEC 21.009.
