Purpose: The bus monitor is to aid the bus driver in the safe transportation of students within the school district.
Job Requirements:
(A) Experience working with students in other fields such as daycare, sports camps, or other similar experiences.
(B) If student applicant, must be at least 16 years of age and a currently registered student with the NSCISD.
(C) Other: Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may deem appropriate and acceptable.
Application Steps:
1. Complete the Web-based electronic application and the EPI survey (offered at end of the application).
2. Provide a copy of your HS Diploma or College transcript.
3. Provide proof of Identity (Driver's Lic., SS card, Birth Certificate, Passport, or other Federal Documents.)
4. If required, you must submit to and pass a biometric (fingerprint-based) background check. Included in the electronic application: A notice to comply with the requirement to a Criminal History Record Information (CHRI) review via the "DPS FACT" database (included during the enrollment process) per Texas Government Code Sec. 411.097.
Note: An "Affidavit of Applicant Offered Employment" (included in the application process) must be completed and notarized before a candidate is offered a professional position at N-S CISD. A notary public is available in the Human Resources office for candidates who are recommended for employment. This pre-employment requirement complies with TEC 21.009.
The $17.20 rate is reserved for certified CDL drivers with a passenger endorsement.
